Lucía Alemany shoots the comedy 'Mari(Dos)' in the Aragonese Pyrenees

Telecinco Cinema, Ciudadano Ciskul and Think Studio are filming these days in the Aragonese Pyrenees Mari(Two), second feature film by Lucía Alemany.

The comedy stars Paco León, Ernesto Alterio, Celia Freijeiro and Raúl Cimas. TO Mari(Two), whose main cast is completed by child actresses Lucía Gómez and Emma Hernández and teenager Kirill Bunegin, is the second feature film by Lucia Alemany and has a script signed by Pablo Alen y Breixo Corral (3 more weddings y Anacleto: Secret agent).

The director from Castellón debuted in 2019 with her debut feature, The innocence, a story with autobiographical overtones that obtained critical recognition, with two nominations for the Goya awards and eight for the Gaudí awards, among others.

The filming of this comedy, which began on February 21, will continue for several weeks in Pyrenean locations such as Candanchú, Panticosa, Fiscal, Lanuza, Portalet and Formigal, as well as in the Community of Madrid.

In this comedy, Toni and Emilio (Paco León and Ernesto Alterio) receive the same tragic call: their wives are in a coma after an avalanche in a ski resort. When they show up at the admissions desk at the mountain hospital, they make a surprising discovery: their wives are actually the same person, Laura (Celia Freijeiro). For years, Laura has secretly led parallel lives, a wild roller coaster ride between her two families. Forced to live together until Laura wakes up and can be transferred, Emilio and Toni fight to prove which of the two is the only and true husband.

The film will hit theaters in Spain distributed by Buena Vista International.
