The Valencia Provincial Council awards its new television to Beovisión

This company, led by the Valencian businessman Ángel Raga, wins the Mediterranean Popular Television competition.

Among the two bidders that entered the competition for the new television promoted by the Provincial Council of Valencia, it was finally Ángel Raga's company, Beovisión, which prevailed over its rival Televisión Popular del Mediterráneo.

Owned by the Valencian businessman Ángel Raga Payá, Beovisión co-produces the daily series on Cuatro with La Competencia Gym Tony. The production company belongs to the Mecomlys group, which owns Galaxia Televisión, Producciones Televisivas Mecomlys, Canal 7 TeleValencia, Radiosiete and Onda Valencia.

Mecomlys was one of the winning companies in the outsourcing of programming carried out on Channel 9, paralyzed by the closure of the network.

For the award of the new Provincial Council channel, Beovisión offered a contract of 2.68 million euros and 562,000 euros of VAT. The company now has a period of 15 days to deliver all the necessary documentation to be able to sign the contract and start issuing. Within this period, the corporation's technicians must make a classification decree explaining the reasons that led them to choose Beovisión over Mediterráneo TV.

Desde la Diputación de Valencia, se justifica el proyecto de la nueva televisión ya que “es un servicio que la gente ha pedido desde el cierre de la radio y la televisión públicas valencianas”, que decretó la Generalitat al argumentar que no podía costear el servicio tras la sentencia del Tribunal Superior de Justicia de la Comunitat Valenciana (TSJCV) que anuló el Expediente de Regulación de Empleo (ERE) para más de un millar de empleados.

El nuevo canal emitirá informaciones relacionadas con los pueblos y ciudades de la provincia y de la propia Diputación.
