The Senate awards Mediapro its television services

Mediatem, a company in the audiovisual group, will manage the channel of the Upper House of the Spanish Parliament for the next two years.

The Senate Contracting Board has awarded Mediatem, a company belonging to the Mediapro group, the exploitation of the technical services of the television of the Upper House, after a public tender in which three other companies in the sector participated.

A team of professionals will collaborate with the Senate's audiovisual services in providing the channel management service, which includes the capture, production, recording, distribution and technical processing and archiving of the image and sound of parliamentary sessions as well as other public events that take place at the Senate headquarters.

Mediatem will also be in charge of producing the signal for the plenary sessions and the Committee meetings, and its distribution to both the Senate's own channels and the rest of the television stations. In addition, it will carry out the production of videos of the interventions, the planning and scripting of institutional videos, the technical control of all operations as well as technical advice on installations and audiovisual equipment. The contract will come into force next April with a duration of two years, extendable.
