Tedial has finally prevailed over seven other providers to launch a centralized network in the Federation of Autonomous Radio and Television Organizations (FORTA) in which the different television stations and associated institutions contribute and are fed with images.

FORTA has chosen Tedial for its digital content exchange management project, beating seven other leading providers in media management in the competition. Tedial's technology will allow the creation of a centralized network in which the different television stations and associated institutions contribute their images to the corporate archive and can in turn draw on those of the rest for use in the field of their own television.

The final result will be an integrated and automated system capable of accommodating the contents of FORTA and the material contributed by its members with the important addition of web publication and access to the archive through the Internet. In addition to the integration of the system, Tedial will be responsible for its maintenance during the first three years.

Optimal use of bandwidth

For this project, Tedial is based on the conviction that classic transfer services based on TCP/IP, such as FTP or HTTP, degrade in an extraordinary way when network latency exceeds 5 milliseconds.

Due to the very nature of the FORTA project, in many cases the latency will exceed this delay. For this reason, Tedial has designed a system capable of transferring video files on data networks with significant latencies, guaranteeing optimal use of the bandwidth available on the network. This will resolve congestion issues in the presence of other transfers or other traffic on the network, while allowing the option to dedicate bandwidth for those highest priority transfers, when necessary.

José Mesas, CEO of Tedial, commented that "the objective of our proposal encompasses the design, development and implementation of a new exploitation and production model in digital television using the TARSYS platform." As Mesas acknowledges, this technology “has already been widely tested and recognized in numerous regional television installations in Andalusia (RTVA), Aragón (CARTV), Castilla La Mancha (RTVCM), Murcia (RTRM) and the Valencian Community (RTVV).”

Unique documentary collection

All Tedial products are created from a set of modules that, combined together, constitute a solution adaptable to any need and completely scalable for any future growth.

The solution offered by the Malaga company to FORTA has multiple additional advantages, among which the creation of a single documentary collection, with restricted access and controlled by user profiles, and low-resolution visualization of the contents, a powerful search engine based on Oracle or the unification of the file format for media exchange.
