RTVE and Canal Once of Mexico sign an agreement for the exchange of audiovisual content
The agreement between the Spanish public corporation and the Mexican broadcaster also includes the co-production of television programs.
This Tuesday, RTVE signed a collaboration agreement with Mexico's Canal Once, with the aim of exchanging audiovisual content and co-producing new programs. The agreement has been signed by the director of TVE, Eladio Jareño, and the director of Canal Once, Jimena Saldaña.
Through this agreement, which will be valid until December 31, 2018 with the possibility of extension, RTVE and Canal Once will be able to exchange audiovisual content for which they own the copyright and which are transmitted through their television signal.
In addition, they may co-produce audiovisual television programs to transmit on their signals, as well as allow their transmission to third parties.
At the signing ceremony, the director of Canal Once, Jimena Saldaña, assured that "for our Channel this signing is very important, since it marks a milestone in offering the audience everything they expect from us." Eladio Jareño, director of TVE, has declared that "this agreement is the fruit of important work between the two television stations. There is a strong globalization in the audiovisual world in which public television stations react by collaborating with each other. This agreement seeks results through natural collaboration between public television stations."
Canal Once, whose main station is XEIPN-TDT located in Mexico City, is a Mexican public television channel belonging to the National Polytechnic Institute.
