Imagine launches Platinum VX, its new matrix configurable from 16x16 to 288x288
The latest addition to the Platinum line is a mid-size array, with advanced density, high reliability, and low cost per port.
Imagine Communications has announced the launch of its Platinum VX digital matrix. With the ability to route up to 288x288 signals, the Platinum VX represents the latest innovation in its popular Platinum line with high reliability and fully redundant routing of HD, SDI and 3 Gb/s signals.
Glenn LeBrun, vice president of product marketing at Imagine, says, "Imagine arrays have become a benchmark for the broadcasr community, and this new strategic addition to the Platinum family extends the platform's reliability for more compact environments. From mobile units with limited space to complex multichannel operations, broadcasters need arrays with greater scale and functionality. We designed Platinum VX to meet these new needs. Leveraging the innovation and strength of our Platinum family, Platinum VX offers high reliability of large-scale routing but in a reduced-cost matrix.”
The Platinum VX design replaces the compact Panacea line, offering double the density at half the price per port. This digital video matrix incorporates the latest equalization and reclocking technologies to deliver high signal quality and reliability in all signal formats.
With four frame sizes ranging from 16x16 to 288x288, the Platinum VX is a simple, cost-effective solution that supports routing requirements of any size and includes a standalone version of the Magellan control system. Additionally, it is fully compatible with all Magellan remote control panels. Platinum VX can also be part of a larger routing system using a dedicated Magellan SDN Orchestrator control system for baseband and hybrid IP network management.
