Sébastien Janin, former Apple executive, joins Wuaki as international director of business development

With more than 20 years of experience in the VoD sector, he was responsible for the launch and management of the implementation of the iTunes video service in Europe and Latin America.

Sébastien JaninWuaki.tv, the streaming service with movies and series on the Internet for Smart TVs, tablets, game consoles and computers, today announced the appointment of former Apple iTunes executive, Sébastien Janin, as Head of the International Business Development.

This latest signing represents a new milestone in Wuaki.tv's strategy to strengthen its presence in Europe by hiring the best professionals.

Janin brings more than 20 years of experience in the VoD sector to Wuaki.tv having worked for the last eight years at Apple iTunes. In this role, Janin was responsible for launching and managing the rollout of the iTunes video service in Europe and Latin America. Over the past two years, Janin has been responsible for leading the international independent film business, launching activities in several countries in Europe and exploring new ways to discover film talent.

Prior to his time at Apple, Janin spent twelve years responsible for launching some of the best European films to an international audience as part of his role as Vice President of Home Entertainment at Studiocanal, a leader in film production, acquisition and distribution in Europe.

Wuaki.tv is immersed in an aggressive European expansion campaign and aims to be present in more than 10 countries by the end of 2015. In February, Wuaki.tv began providing service in Italy and announced that Ireland and Austria would be the next countries during Q2.
