Cubase Elements 8 combines the technologies and studio tools responsible for the popularity of Cubase with numerous new features introduced in the latest Pro 8 version. For a moderate price, Cubase Elements music production software opens its doors to aspiring producers and musicians to take their first contact with the fascinating world of Cubase.

After launching Cubase Pro 8 and Cubase Artist 8 to great success late last year, Cubase Elements 8 now completes this latest Cubase range by offering new sounds and effects, as well as numerous features that turn any Mac or Windows computer into a music production system.

The improved user interface now allows you to permanently pin the MediaBay and VST Instrument Rack. It also includes a redesigned Track List and Inspector for easier reading, a new plug-in manager for easy customization, and a flexible window layout for Windows.

Elsewhere, Chord Pads have been added to Cubase Elements 8's set of creative features. This allows users to trigger chords and change voicings and tensions via MIDI parameters on any recording-enabled instrument or MIDI track. The circle of fifths provides a graphical summary that helps understand the theory behind the available chord progressions.

The HALion Sonic SE 2 and Groove Agent SE 4 instruments offer completely new sounds and a generous variety of drum kits. HALion Sonic SE 2 also features the Trip (arpeggio) virtual analog synthesizer and eight new effects.

Other new features include ASIO-Guard 2 to ensure low latencies at all times, and an improved EQ module in each channel strip, which displays note gain, frequency and pitch values, and offers the option to enter note values ​​or cents instead of frequencies. The Re-record mode introduced in the Cubase Elements transport controls allows recording to be restarted at the original position. A revised version of the Tuner plug-in features a Strobe tuning mode and improved management.
Cubase Elements has many other useful tools on board, for example the MP3 codec for unlimited encoding and decoding of MP3 files or the FLAC codec for lossless compression.
