New Adobe Creative Cloud video tools include a new Adobe Premiere Pro CC color panel for instant color corrections, and Morph Cut that easily eliminates editing pauses and skips.

Adobe at NAB 2015

At NAB 2015, Adobe has showcased advancements in its full line of video technologies and services that radically improve the way television producers, filmmakers and video professionals create, collaborate, deliver and monetize content across multiple screens.

NAB hosted the first public preview of major updates to Adobe Creative Cloud video tools, including a new Adobe Premiere Pro CC color panel for instant color corrections, and Morph Cut that easily eliminates unwanted editing pauses and skips for a more polished editing sequence, as well as new Adobe Character Animator capabilities for Adobe After Effects CC that bring two-dimensional characters to life.

Additionally, the company has previewed Project “Candy,” a CC Capture mobile app that recently joined the growing family of Create Cloud-enabled mobile apps. Project “Candy” connects to a user's Creative Cloud Profile and allows someone using their smartphone camera to capture production-quality lighting schemes and then apply them to the Premiere Pro CC video sequence.

Innovations like these are driving rapid adoption of the company's video workflows. In fact, recent adopters of Premiere Pro include four-time Academy Award winners the Cohen Brothers, who are currently editing their film, Hi, Ceasar!; as well as director Rhys Thomas and producer Lorne Michaels of Saturday Night Live, with their film Staten Island Summer, which will be released this year. Additionally, MLB Networks shifted its editing and post-production environment to a full Creative Cloud workflow.

Primetime

At NAB, Adobe is announcing major enhancements to Adobe Primetime, the platform for delivering television content across multiple screens including over-the-top (OTT) devices like Apple TV and Roku. In particular, Adobe is unveiling innovations for video delivery, monetization and personalization to offer new business models to content owners, programmers and pay-TV providers.

The company is partnering with service solutions providers, including industry pioneer MLBAM, to deliver innovative OTT programming across live, linear and video-on-demand services on TVs and displays. Adobe is collaborating with MLBAM to live stream the Major League Baseball season, providing streaming and delivery capabilities for all games.

Additionally, several MLBAM sports, news and entertainment partners have introduced the first direct-to-consumer TV applications that leverage Adobe Primetime technologies. Additionally, Turner Broadcasting is using Adobe Primetime to insert commercials on Apple TV and other OTT devices.
