Adobe Creative Cloud Drives New Advancements in Video at NAB 2017
The latest update introduces new capabilities in artificial intelligence, virtual reality, motion graphics, live animation and audio.
Adobe has unveiled a major update to its Adobe Creative Cloud video tools to help filmmakers and producers collaborate and optimize video workflows. The release, available now for Creative Cloud, offers new functionality in graphics and titles, animation, audio cleanup and sharing; support for new video formats such as HDR, Virtual Reality and 4K; new integrations with Adobe Stock and advanced artificial intelligence capabilities thanks to Adobe Sensei. Announced at Adobe Summit 2017, Adobe Experience Cloud also enables brands to deliver video experiences across any screen at scale while analyzing performance and monetizing ads.
Technological advancement and growing consumer demand for personalized, long-lasting content makes it increasingly important for producers to be able to create, deliver and monetize their videos faster than ever. From large studios to the new generation of YouTubers, it is essential to have a comprehensive and scalable solution that allows you to create, collaborate and simplify video workflows with solid analytical and advertising tools that allow you to optimize content and generate greater value.
“I have used all Adobe programs as part of my viewing process since the early days on films like The Aviator, Avatar y Hugo“says Rob Legato, three-time Oscar winner and special effects supervisor for The jungle book. "Over the years, technology has improved, especially thanks to great innovations from Adobe such as Dynamic Link between Adobe Premiere Pro and AfterEffects, the integration of Cinema 4D with AfterEffects and native workflows. I rely on Creative Cloud to preview and experiment freely in all my films, creating the opportunity to take our creative process to the next level."
“Our heritage is to take the most complicated challenges and simplify them so you can focus on the storytelling and professional quality of the work,” says Steven Warner, vice president of digital media at Adobe. "The latest update to CreativeCloud video integrates the advanced science of Adobe Sensei to make common tasks faster and easier. Now, all creators, whether they are part of the big production companies or emerging YouTubers, can bring their creative vision to life without having to be experts in audio or motion graphics."
Sensei Technology
Using Adobe Sensei technology, Adobe's artificial intelligence and machine learning framework, users can automatically normalize audio intensity across the entire timeline with a single click in Premiere Pro or Audition. In CharacterAnimator, Sensei applies complex algorithms in real time to ensure the puppet's lip sync is perfect. In Adobe ExperienceCloud, a video recommendation engine learns from hundreds of millions of video consumption points to show audiences the most relevant content.
Integration with Adobe Stock
Deeply integrated into Creative Cloud workflows, customers have access to millions of Adobe Stock video assets, including HD and 4K quality, and the ability to search for videos directly from the app. New in this update, publishers who want to sell their work can now easily contribute to Adobe Stock through the target publishing workflow, within Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder, reaching millions of buyers. Adobeya Target Publishing lets you work on the world's most popular social video networks and publish to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Behance in one step.
"I've been shooting, editing, and uploading footage for over a decade. The new ability to contribute Adobe Stock directly from Premiere Pro is an incredibly valuable tool that makes uploading and selling stock assets much faster and easier. This new functionality is a game-changer for all footage producers," says RobbCrocker, CEO of Funnelbox and author of the book Stock FootageMillionaire.
Pond5 for Adobe Stock
Additionally, Adobe has announced a collaboration with Pond5, further expanding Adobe Stock video offerings. Sourced from an international community of artists and covering a mix of highly sought-after themes such as lifestyle, entertainment, sports, cinematic shots and aerial imagery, the addition of Pond5's video library will give video creators and designers access to one of the largest and fastest growing collections, all natively integrated into Creative Cloud applications. As part of the collaboration with Adobe, Pond5 contributors will also be able to access an even larger market of buyers. (More information on the Adobe blog).
Integration with Adobe Experience Cloud
As the needs of video creators, from creative agencies to production companies, change to reflect a data-led future, Adobe Experience Cloud benefits the entire audiovisual journey, from delivery, to measurement and monetization across screens. With the Adobe TV Media Management platform, production companies and broadcasters can leverage analytics to give advertisers more accurate audience segmentation and predictions. Adobe Analytics Cloud allows you to measure the performance of video content published on social networks within Premiere Pro itself and ensure a high degree of accuracy in the segmentation and forecasting of video ads.
Adobe Advertising Cloud brings traditional TV and digital video advertising closer by simplifying the media planning and buying process, enabling closer collaboration with creative agencies through dynamic creative optimization (DCO), and ensuring maximum brand certainty for video ads with the most third-party integrations in the industry.
