The Animation, Special Effects and Video Games Film Festival, Animayo Gran Canaria, will bring together prominent professionals from May 4 to 9 in Gran Canaria.

In its tenth edition, the Animation, Special Effects and Video Game Film Festival, Anime Gran Canaria is once again nourished by big names in the industry who will bring their knowledge and wisdom to the attendees, through their masterclasses, courses and workshops. Big stars recognized nationally and internationally.

In this edition, Animayo will have Craig Miller, screenwriter, advertising executive and producer, who in addition to being part of the International Jury will offer a masterclass. He has worked for Lucasfilm, Warner Bros, Universal Disney, Columbia and Henson Associates, among others. His works include Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Excalibur, Superman II, Journey to the Back of the Mind, Dark Crystal, The Wicker Man, The Muppets Conquer Manhattan, among many others.

Also coming to the island will be Hidetaka Yosumi, who began his career as an engineer and programmer at Dream Pictures Studios in Tokyo. Has worked in Final Fantasy X 2001, Final Fantasy XI y Kingdom Herts 2002, in animated films like Valiant, Bolt, O Breaking Ralph and was in charge of the movement and flow of Rapunzel's famous hair. Has worked for The Little Prince y In as character supervisor.

Anime 2015Javier Fesser, screenwriter and film and advertising director, also participates in this event. Fesser has made more than 150 advertisements for well-known brands. With the short film Athat little rhythm (1995) received a Goya and with Binta and the Big Idea, managed to be nominated for an Oscar, although he did not manage to win the statuette. The Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain awarded The miracle of P. Tinto with a Goya for best special effects and Fesser got the nomination for best new director and in 2003 he released the film The Great Adventure of Mortadelo and Filemón based on the comics by Francisco Ibáñez. He has released the award-winning Camino which received six Goya Awards and stands out among other works Mortadelo and Filemón against Jimmy the Horny.

Pablo Giménez, Lead Technical Director of VFX at Double Negative; Borja Montoro, animator and character designer by profession and with more than 25 years of experience in the industry;
Michaela Pavlátová, nominated al Oscar por Reci, reci, reci/Words, words, words;
Francisco Javier Soler, art director of Pyro Studios; Alex Dowis, director and specialist in Light Painting/speed painting, and winner of the Talents 2012 television contest in the Czech Republic; Xes Vilà, technical director of FX Animation Barcelona 3D School;
or Lorenzo Zitta, high-level photo retouching teacher with Photoshop at FX Animation are other professionals who will share their experiences with those who participate in Animayo.

The festival completes its program with numerous training workshops on aerial shots with drones, FX makeup, character design, advertising and video clip making, 3D for photography, illustration and graphic design.
