Monal and Tres60, a new audiovisual giant in the hands of HIG Europe

The entry of the multinational venture capital company HIG European into the French group Monal will mean the union with the Spanish Tres60Grupo, in the hands of HIG, forming a giant in post-production and audiovisual services.

After the acquisition of the French group Monal by the multinational venture capital and alternative investments HIG European Capital Partners, a leading shareholder in the Spanish company Tres60, a giant in post-production and audiovisual services now emerges.
This operation, closed in mid-March, has had the full support of the Monal group's management team and, specifically, its founding shareholder, Denis Auboyer.

The union of Tres60 Grupo and Monal will be carried out through a common holding company of which both companies will be subsidiaries. In this way, Monal will retain its identity and its management center in France.

The founding shareholder of the Monal group, Denis Auboyer, has been “satisfied” with this project, which will allow his company to “enjoy financial stability adapted to the continuity of its development, after suffering the current economic difficulties of its market.”

For his part, the general director of HIG in Spain, Jaime Bergel, has considered that the union of his company with Monal represents “a milestone” in the development plan that the management team of Tres60 Grupo had defined and that it will allow his group to “achieve the desired geographical diversification in the prime audiovisual market in Continental Europe.”

“This investment demonstrates the capacity for action and commitment of HIG in Europe,” said the general director of HIG in France, Olivier Boyadjian.

Tres60 Group has a business volume of 50 million euros and is present throughout the audiovisual value chain, from technical means of production to post-production, broadcasting and advertising marketing. For its part, the Monal group, with sales exceeding 40 million euros, is a leading business conglomerate in image and sound post-production, digital restoration, dubbing, subtitling, distribution and playout.
