The Swedish TV4 entrusts ChyronHego with the onair graphics project and is being studied in its new news set

The centerpiece of the new studio is a huge 10x3 meter ultra-high resolution video wall with 6,144 by 1,536 pixels, which is natively powered by the ChyronHego solution.

The Swedish broadcaster TV4 has just launched a new studio from which it will broadcast its news programs, sports programs and its morning magazine. Installation of solutions ChyronHego has made it possible to implement a simple and efficient production process despite the degree of automation and the complexity of the graphics involved.

Sjofn Blöndal, project manager at TV4, admits that "with our new onair scenography and graphics we try to impress audiences and advertisers with a great technological display. At the same time, a small team of professionals can execute the productions, so we depend heavily on automation. Finding a graphic solution that could handle that combination of factors, without adding undue complexity was one of our biggest challenges. ChyronHego understood that we wanted to keep things simple. They made sure that our Many screens and graphic channels were based on templates, being able to work hand in hand with our ENPS newsroom system, but at the same time it gave us flexibility in the creation of editorial graphics.”

TV4 has implemented the complete ChyronHego BlueNet graphics and broadcast solution for the entire newsroom workflow, with the Camio asset management application. That workflow allows them to play up to eight channels of graphics. Camio is connected to TV4's AP ENPS news production system. Operators use ENPS to design presentations and graphics to be put on air using Camio management. From there, ChyronHego's GS2 real-time graphics engine software drives the graphics playout to the screens.
