Univision prepares its IPO
The broadcaster could exceed $1 billion in its IPO.
The American broadcast in Spanish Univision is preparing its IPO once all the documentation has been submitted to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company, based in New York, could go on the market (it has not yet determined whether it will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange or the Nasdaq) with an initial share offering of about one hundred million dollars.
According to some sources, the broadcaster could exceed $1 billion in operations in its IPO, thus valuing the company at around $20 billion.
Its current shareholders include Haim Saban, Madison Dearborn Partners, Providence Equity Partners, TPG and Thomas H. Lee Partners. The group bought the chain in 2007 for 13.7 billion plus debt.
