The campus in Valencia Berklee College of Music held its graduation ceremony this morning at the Auditori del Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia. This year 143 students from 31 countries have received their master's degree in four areas of study: Music Technology and Innovation; Contemporary Performance; Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games; and Global Entertainment and Music Business.

Throughout the year that the program lasts, the master's students have complemented and intensified their studies with the creation of powerful events such as the first Women's Empower Symposium, and the second TEDxBerkleeValencia, which takes place annually. The students also presented their projects at MIDEM in Cannes and at Sónar+D in Barcelona, recorded their final composition projects conducting a 50-piece orchestra at Abbey Road Studios, and performed at numerous festivals across Europe.

For Lawrence J. Simpson, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs/Provost, “the Berklee College of Music study center in Valencia has consolidated itself as a campus, and I am convinced that it will continue to do so tomorrow.” Simpson added that “the students graduating today have developed a comprehensive and individual vision of the music industry and a set of skills and knowledge that will make them the artists, innovators and entrepreneurs of the future.”

The graduation ceremony took place at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, also located in the City of Arts and Sciences, where the Berklee campus in Valencia organizes numerous concerts and events as part of its curriculum.

This is one of the many collaborations that the Berklee campus in Valencia has developed with local and international institutions and organizations to build bridges between its students and the most relevant agents in the music industry. The university aims to contribute in this way to the cultural development of the city of Valencia and its promotion at an international level.
