IBC TV, for the first time in direct streaming and VoD

The solution used to provide content to the application is both EVS' C-Cast cloud-based platform and Streambolico's CrowdWiFi streaming service.

As a novelty in this edition of IBC, the official channel of the fair launches the possibility of accessing it through live streaming and video on demand. IBC TV Live thus offers the main presentations and newsletters from the IBC2015 sessions.

The solution used to provide content to the application uses both the C-Cast cloud-based platform from EVS to stream VoD media, such as the CrowdWiFi streaming service Streambolico to transmit multicast content in real time in the high-density environment of a trade show.

This multimedia broadcast is integrated with IBC TV's existing live production infrastructure, which also uses EVS solutions.

This integrated system uses EVS solutions to manage content, editing, playback and rapid response distribution. The IPDirector live content management system that allows control of ingestions, content management and exchange with third parties; the XStore centralized shared platform offering high-performance live/quasi-live storage; and Xedio CleanEdit NLE, used for raw editing and news editing.

The Xsquare transcoding and orchestration tool and IPLink Adobe plugin are also implemented as part of IBC TV's live production solution. Integration with Streambolico's CrowdWiFi Streaming provides the modularity that high-density situations require, allowing you to provide live video and VoD to hundreds of users on each WiFi hotspot, using only a small fraction of the available bandwidth.
