Spanish Radiotelevision launches the startup developer 'Impulsa Visión RTVE'

Its objective will be to promote creative and innovative projects that contribute to the development and competitiveness of the audiovisual sector.

The Spanish Radio Television Corporation has presented RTVE Vision Promotes, an initiative to support entrepreneurship and innovation of the Corporation, aimed at promoting projects that contribute to the development and competitiveness of the audiovisual sector in general, and that of RTVE, in particular.

The new proposal was born with the objective of supporting creative and innovative projects that come from the field of audiovisual content, technology and organization and business processes.

The corporate general director of RTVE, Enrique Alejo, and the head of the Management Unit of the RTVE Innovation Center, Esteban Mayoral, were in charge of presenting the new initiative to the media this Monday. Alejo has stressed that, with RTVE Vision Promotes, the Corporation "wants to continue being a protagonist in the audiovisual sector in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship. With this new project, RTVE maintains its concern to continue innovating; it is one more part in the Corporation's trajectory, joining others in which we already have an important role, such as HD, 4K technology, the digitization of the RTVE Archive... ".

Esteban Mayoral has shown himself along the same lines, stating that "it is an initiative that mainly seeks three objectives: to build an exciting project to learn from society; for RTVE to be the bridge between the public sector, entrepreneurship and the private sector; and to be, once again, the first in the audiovisual sector to bet on innovation." “We only hope that the selected projects provide talent and commitment, with a public service character, thus being useful for RTVE,” he concluded.

RTVE, as an innovative company and spearhead of technological development in the audiovisual sector in Spain, opens its doors to welcome proposals and initiatives that allow the development of new ideas, new companies and initiatives for the progress of the industry and the audiovisual sector in Spain.

RTVE Vision Promotes Its objective is to support creative and innovative projects, and is open to proposals in the technological field, content or business organization and management. To this end, RTVE presents the First Call of the Startup Launcher, aimed at self-employed professionals and recently created micro-SMEs, who have a maximum of ten employees on staff and have a turnover of less than two million euros annually.

For selected projects, RTVE Vision Promotes makes available a wide range of business resources and services: work spaces, equipment and audiovisual material; training and advice provided by RTVE professionals or external collaborating companies; and dissemination and support for marketing through RTVE contact networks, among others.

RTVE will provide the support and experience of the largest communication group in the country, and will offer financing of up to 30,000 euros, according to the project's milestone plan, which includes work spaces at the RTVE Institute, coaching, other material resources and capital for the acquisition of products and services necessary to achieve the desired objectives.

The collaboration with RTVE Vision Promotes It will be formalized through an Entrepreneurship Agreement, which in addition to containing a scheduled and specific milestone plan, will include a support plan that facilitates the search for new sources of financing and future collaborations in national and international projects promoted by RTVE and other public and private entities and companies.
