'The Ministry of Time' convinces at the MiM Awards
The MiM awards put the finishing touch to the MiM Series festival, within the framework of Madridimagen 2015, which was held from November 23 to 30 at Cineteca de Madrid.
Spanish Television has received three awards at the 2015 MIM Series Festival: best drama series and best script (Javier Olivares, Anaïs Schaaff and Pablo Olivares) for The Ministry of Time and best miniseries or tvmovie of the year for Prim, the murder on Calle del Turco.
The awards ceremony has put the finishing touch to the MiM Series festival, within the framework of Madridimagen 2015, which was held from November 23 to 30 at Cineteca de Madrid.
The jury was made up of the director and screenwriter Borja Cobeaga, the screenwriter and presenter Isabel Vázquez, the director, screenwriter and producer Rodolfo Montero, the writer Lorenzo Silva and the actress Marian Álvarez.
Directed by Marc Vigil, The Ministry of Time It has received numerous awards since the premiere of its first season, such as the Ondas for the best Spanish series of the year; Vitoria FesTVal Critics' Award for Best Fiction of 2015; Gold Panda Award for best director for Marc Vigil; ALMA award for best script awarded by the screenwriters union; Twitter award at FesTVal de Murcia, and Zoom award for the best Spanish series of the year.
Created by Pablo and Javier Olivares (Cliffhanger) and produced by TVE in collaboration with Onza Entertainment, it is currently filming its second installment, which will have 13 chapters in which the patrol will cross the doors of time to solve new errors that could change the course of our History.
The award for Best Male Drama Performance went to Yon González for Under Suspicion and the Best Female Drama Performance has gone to Maggie Civantos for her role as Dream to dream. In the comedy section, the best actor was Ignatius Farray for The end of comedy and the best actress Teresa Hurtado de Ory for Blind to Dating.
The award for Best Director went to Salvador Calvo (Ours) and the Best Screenplay for Javier Olivares, Pablo Olivares, Anaïs Schaaff, José Ramón Fernández and Paco López Barrio (El Ministerio del Tiempo).
Finally, the Madridimagen association and the DAMA management entity have presented the Special Award for Contribution to Television Fiction to Tito Valverde “for more than three decades playing protagonists, from Pepa and Pepe, All Men Are Equal, The Commissioner, Velvet, Víctor Ros o Without Identity, moving through comedy and drama and having always made closeness and authenticity his personal hallmark.”
