'The Ministry of Time' is filming these days in Peñíscola

The wild beaches of Peñíscola become, under the direction of Jorge Dorado, the natural setting for the series produced by Onza and TVE.

The Ministry of Time travels to the sea for the first time. These days some key sequences of the second episode of the new season of the RTVE series are being filmed in the Sierra de Irta Natural Park, in the province of Castellón.

The wild beaches of Peñíscola thus become, under the direction of Jorge Dorado, the epicenter of an unknown military operation of the Second World War, in which the Spanish coast played a strategic role. The patrol will travel to a simulated Punta Umbría marina in 1943, to save said operation. As usual, the production company Onza Partners is working for this production with cameras ARRI Alexa.

The chapter has the collaboration of the actors Antonio Dechent, Luisa Gavasa, Cuca Escribano and José Manuel Poga.

New locations

Traveling to new locations that could bring a breath of fresh air to the scripts and allow us to expand the horizon to new stories is one of the premises for the third season. The next jump in time and space will take the team next week to the Monastery of Veruela, in Zaragoza.

Both filmings have been possible thanks to the collaboration of different regional institutions, motivated by the success of the series combined with its marked didactic nature. Thus, the support of the Generalitat and the Peñíscola City Council, in the case of Castellón, and that of the Aragonese Government, in the case of Zaragoza, have been definitive.

Over the next few months, The Ministry of Time will continue opening new doors to bygone eras and discovering illustrious characters who will be played by some of the most renowned actors in our country.
