Mediaset España opts for Accedo for its new OTT service 'Mitele' on Smart TV

The OTT service for Samsung smart TVs is fully powered by the Accedo AppGrid application management solution, making it highly configurable and flexible.

Designed for Samsung Smart TVs, Mediaset Spain has launched its new OTT service Mitele based on OTT technology from I'm coming.

The service is fully powered by the Accedo AppGrid application management solution, making it highly configurable and flexible.

Jorge Martín Ibarra, development director at Mediaset Spain, acknowledges that "it was very important for us to be able to launch Mitele on Samsung Smart TV before the holidays when most people have more time to watch television. Accedo AppGrid's flexible and modular approach to application management has allowed us to stay ahead, while remaining profitable, maximizing our traffic and usage."

The Mitele application has been developed using the VIA Accedo Development Kit (VDK) together with Accedo AppGrid for maximum cloud configurability. Being able to manage the application in this way means that Mediaset can update and customize the application dynamically, according to user behavior and expand its capabilities based on its business growth.
