The EBU Television Committee meets at the RTVE headquarters in Madrid
Torrespaña hosts the meeting of this committee made up of 14 professionals representing all European public television stations.
At the invitation of RTVE, one of the annual meetings of the Television Committee of the EBU (European Radio-Television Union) took place on Thursday, February 18 and Friday, February 19 at the Torrespaña headquarters in Madrid.
The EBU Television Committee is made up of 14 professionals representing all European public television stations. It defines the objectives and strategies for the co-production and exchange of television programs, as well as the supervision of the most important events of the EBU, among which the Eurovision Song Contest and the Vienna Philharmonic concerts stand out. RTVE is represented on the Television Committee by Federico Llano, who is currently its elected vice president.
Also joining Friday's session were 11 presidents of the EBU working groups and programs, from different European public television stations.
The EBU (EBU) is the world's leading association of national public service television and radio stations. It has 73 Members in 56 countries that operate some 780 TV channels and 1,040 radio services and broadcast in 123 languages to a potential audience of 1,030 million people. Another 34 Associates operate in Asia, Africa and the Americas. The EBU/EBU operates the Eurovision and Euroradio news and program exchange services.
RTVE, a member of the EBU since 1955, currently participates in several EBU television programs: Eurovision Song Contest, the concerts of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra (Vienna New Year, Schönbrunn Summer and a third annual special concert), Generation What, Big Cities, documentaries (Bombay Institute, Cyborgs among us…) and other classical music projects, children…
