Mª Dolores Villar, director of the Legal Department of RTVE, elected member of the Legal Committee of the EBU

It is the second time that a representative of RTVE has been elected to be part of this body of the European Broadcasting Union.

UERMª Dolores Villar, director of the Legal Department of RTVE, has been elected member of the Legal Committee of the European Broadcasting Union representing the Corporation.

It is the second time in history that RTVE has a presence in this vital body of the EBU whose objective is to bring together the most prominent experts and advisors in legal matters among its members to promote and defend public service media in Europe, as well as establish a common legal strategy within the activities of the EBU. The vote took place on October 15 during the 10th Assembly of the Legal and Public Affairs Committee of the EBU in Geneva.

Mª Dolores Villar Guzmán has a degree in Law from the University of A Coruña and joined the State Bar in 2001. Since July 2015 she has been the director of the Legal Department of the RTVE Corporation.

With this election, the European Broadcasting Union ratifies its support for a new representative of RTVE after Enrique Sánchez, Dolores Villar's predecessor at the head of RTVE's legal department, was elected member of this Committee in April 2015.
