A night… of talent and tribute
The Television Academy presents the Talent Awards at the Ateneo de Madrid, which recognize professional excellence behind the camera. During the Ceremony, an emotional tribute was paid to Ignacio Salas.
Last night the Ateneo de Madrid hosted the Talent Awards, awards established by the Television Academy to recognize professional excellence behind the camera.
The academics América Valenzuela and Goyo González were in charge of conducting a ceremony directed by Rafael Galán.
Small screen professionals such as Ramón García, Lydia Bosch, Miguel Rellán, Toñi Moreno, Marc Clotet, Manu Sánchez, Elena Sánchez, Javier Bardají and Beatriz Maesso, among others, were in charge of praising the virtues of the winners and presenting them with the award.
In its fifteenth edition, the awards have gone to Gregorio Quintana (general director of Boomerang Ficción); Eduardo Ladrón de Guevara (screenwriter); Blanca Vives (director The Voice Kids); Seli Martínez (director At your house or mine), Ignacio Mata (director of corporate communications at Atresmedia); Jordi Serra (head of content and programs at Televisiò de Catalunya); Antonio Ramírez (strategy and communication director of Canal Sur); Florencio Carrera (general director of Edigrup); Joaquín Durán (deputy director of RTVA and director of Canal Sur Televisión); Eduardo Álvarez (general director of Radio Television Castilla y León); Paco Díaz Ujados (Director of Content, Antenna and Production at TVE) and Paco Quintanar (documentarian at RTVE).
Tribute to Ignacio Salas
During the Talent Awards ceremony, tribute was paid to the figure of the late Ignacio Salas, the president of the Academy that created these awards.
During the tribute, a video was shown with some television moments starring Salas and memories of colleagues and friends such as Guillermo Summers, Pastora Vega, María Teresa Campos, Santiago Segura, Joaquín Sabina, el Gran Wyoming, Xavier Sardá, Carmen Domínguez, Pedro Olea, Sebastián Álvaro, Jesús González Green, Jordi García Candau, María Casado, Ángel Peláez, Evaristo Canete, Miguel Ángel López or Rafael Díaz Conde. The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, also wanted to join in this reminder video.
At the Ateneo, Paco Lobatón and Victoria Prego spoke a few words. The son of the honoree León Salas and the president of the Academy, Manuel Campo Vidal, closed the event.
