Valerio Lazarov: tribute to the 'king of zoom'
Two months after his death, family, friends and hundreds of professionals pay an emotional tribute to one of the most innovative filmmakers and producers on the Spanish audiovisual scene.
Organized by the Television Academy, hundreds of family, friends and professionals have gathered to pay tribute to the person and creative career of Valerio Lazarov. Romanian by birth and Spanish by adoption, Lazarov innovated the language of filmmaking in Spain by introducing hitherto unknown elements such as the provocative use of zoom. The tribute, directed by Fernando Navarrete and hosted by Concha García Campoy, was attended by professionals who shared hours on set with Lazaron such as Jordi García Candau, Rafael Ansón, José María Iñigo, Concha Velasco, Lina Morgan, Miguel de los Santos and Paolo Vasile. Andrés Pajares, Manolo Escobar, Luis Mariñas and Enrique Cerezo have been some of the friends who have told countless anecdotes about this excellent professional and best person to whom television in our country owes so much.
