Harmonic improves storage efficiency for 4K with the new Middlebrid 4000

In NAB 2016 we can see for the first time the new storage platform Harmonic Middlebrid 4000. In a 4-RU chassis it offers the performance of an area storage network (San) of fiber channel with the simplicity and scalability of a network connected storage (NAS).

This proposal guarantees greater efficiency in productivity by consolidating the storage process even in high demand environments such as ultra high definition 4K.

This new storage platform can be expanded to 48, 96 or 144 TB adding Middle Content 4240 nodules, equipped with removable discs of 4 or 6 TB. The containstore 5840 nodules can be incorporated into the MEDRID 4000 systems to achieve the highest storage density in the industry, up to 504 TB in 5 RU.
