RTVE and the Prado Museum sign a collaboration agreement

Its objective is the production of audiovisual documents, as well as the dissemination of activities organized by the Museum and their subsequent broadcast through the Corporation's channels.

Spanish Radio and Television and the National Prado Museum have signed a collaboration agreement that aims to produce audiovisual documents, as well as the dissemination of activities organized by the Museum and their subsequent broadcast through the Corporation's channels.

The president of RTVE, José Antonio Sánchez, the president of the Royal Board of Trustees of the National Prado Museum, José Pedro Pérez-Llorca, its director, Miguel Zugaza, and the director of Communication and Institutional Relations of RTVE, Manuel Ventero have signed the agreement.

Sánchez has shown “double satisfaction, both for being here, at the Prado Museum, and for doing so accompanied by José Pedro Pérez-Llorca.” The president of the Corporation has highlighted that "with this signature, a collaboration is formalized by which all the information generated by the Museum will be disseminated in different RTVE programs and news programs."

For his part, José Pedro Pérez-Llorca has pointed out that "signing with RTVE will allow the exhibition focused on the fifth centenary of Hieronymus Bosch to have greater dissemination and, therefore, bring new ideas about the painter to citizens."

Hieronymus Bosch, the garden of dreams

In addition, the signing of the first specific collaboration agreement took place, which will focus on the dissemination of the documentary film Hieronymus Bosch, the garden of dreams, a production of the Museo Nacional del Prado together with López Li Films and with the sponsorship of the BBVA Foundation. The premiere will coincide with the opening at the Prado Museum of Hieronymus Bosch, the centenary exhibition. Its broadcast on RTVE will take place next summer. Both parties will organize the preview of the documentary in Madrid prior to its release in cinemas, scheduled for June.

With this signature, RTVE undertakes to collaborate in the dissemination of activities organized by the Prado Museum that are of special relevance, as well as to broadcast, through Spanish Television and RTVE.es, the Museum's productions considered of cultural interest.

The agreement, which will take effect from this Thursday, is valid for one year, extendable for successive periods of equal duration by express agreement of both parties. RTVE, exercising its public service function, has been developing a line of audiovisual production around the work of the Prado Museum.

Directed by José Luis López Linares, Hieronymus Bosch, the garden of dreams is a documentary film focused on the painter's most important painting and one of the most iconic in the world: The Garden of Earthly Delights. In this feature film, artists, writers, philosophers, musicians and scientists talk about the personal, historical and artistic meanings of the painting, bringing to the present a conversation that began 500 years ago at the court of the Dukes of Nassau (Brussels), when it is believed that the painting was commissioned from Hieronymus Bosch.
