Genelec lanza el primer monitor activo sobre IP compatible con AE67 y Ravenna

El nuevo 8430A SAM cuenta con electroacústica basada en las tecnologías de Genelec MDE y DCW

Los nuevos entornos IP han llegado también a las escuchas. Genelec ha presentado en NAB 2016 el primer monitor profesional sobre IP compatible con AE67 y Ravena.

En un momento en el que los populares monitores SAM (Smart Active Monitors) cumplen diez años en el mercado, el fabricante lanza ahora esta nueva propuesta para estudio.

Like the entire SAM series, one of the advantages of the new 8430A SAM studio monitor is the ability to self-calibrate and the incorporation of its own amplifiers and active crossovers to separate the different frequency ranges.

In the last year, Genelec has introduced five new solutions: two monitors and two subwoofers from the SAM line, as well as the new AES67-compatible IP monitor.

The new 8430A SAM features electroacoustics based on Genelec MDE and DCW technologies, a flow-optimized reflex port, very low distortion, high sound pressure and high bandwidth.

Additionally, as a member of the SAM Series, the 8430 uses the GLM 2.0 manager, network control and software that allows adjustments of all aspects of the monitor configuration and complete control of the multiloudspeaker system. As a core part of GLM, Genelec AutoCal technology automatically ensures that all monitors in the network are aligned at the same level and time based on the acoustic conditions of the venue.

The 8430 features exceptional connectivity. Firstly, audio over IP under standard AES67 Ethernet via an RJ45-XLR connector, and secondly, a standard balanced analog signal input via an XLR connector. The 8430 Ethernet audio transmission capability supports standard high-resolution audio sample rates up to 96 kHz.
