Shine Iberia produces the 'Desafío 2016' contest for TVE

Almudena Cid and Jaime Alguersuari lead the new La1 space where fourteen young people will test their abilities in challenges focused on the values ​​of sport.

In the middle of the Olympic year, RTVE continues its commitment to sport with the premiere of 'Desafío 2016'. A program hosted by former gymnast Almudena Cid and former Formula 1 driver Jaime Alguersuari. 14 boys and girls, in mixed pairs, will compete in different challenges to demonstrate their physical and mental capabilities.

The program Challenge 2016, a production by RTVE in collaboration with Shine Iberia, comes to the nights of La 1 as a preamble to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, which RTVE will broadcast. During six episodes, the contestants will have to overcome different and complicated challenges in which they will have to use all five senses to show that they are the best in orientation, aim, strength, balance and resistance.

The mentors, Almudena Cid and Jaime Alguersuari will not only act as drivers but will also be constant support for the contestants. In each episode, after a series of tests, one of the couples will be eliminated. The couple that manages to reach the final will be able to make a dream related to sports come true.

Desafío 2016 has been recorded outdoors, in forests and valleys and lakes in the middle of nature, which has allowed for more extreme and interesting challenges.

The contestants will not know the tests, they will discover it as the program progresses. Some challenges they will face will be archery...blind, zip line, race in the dark or flyboard, a device that allows you to reach 15 meters in height with the help of water jets.
