Lawo begins the commercialization of Relay, its interesting proposal for a virtual mixer for radio

Relay software allows you to replace physical consoles and entire racks of useful accessories, using a single desktop or laptop computer, with significant cost savings. With Relay, all mixing is done natively on a standard Windows laptop or PC. Its intuitive multi-touch interface allows you to familiarly mix audio, create scenes and interact with partner software applications that provide virtualized codecs, telephone hybrids, audio processors, matrices, streaming encoders and other broadcast tools that run entirely in software, with standard WDM or ASIO interface.

Relay can be perfect for remote Grab-and-go kits, field journalists, a quick field studio setup, Internet streaming, or even replacing hardware in a studio. Bundles include Relay VRX4 and VRX8 (with 4- and 8-fader mixer), along with a compact Lawo OnAir 4 audio interface for mic, line, AES3 and Ravvena / AES67 I/O.
