TG7Mediasur, a company of the Mediapro group, will manage the municipal television of Granada, TG7, for the next four years, with the possibility of two more years of extension, after winning the competition called by the municipal council.

The offer presented by Mediasur has obtained the best score both in the economic section and in the section of technical and content improvements.

The management of TG7 has been awarded to the Mediapro subsidiary for an annual amount of 465,960 euros. The offer includes the use of a Mobile Unit equipped with 12 cameras for the broadcast of the Holy Week celebrations and the expansion of the ENG equipment.

Its proposal combines the improvement of technical means with the promotion of the channel's programming through new and attractive local content.

In this sense, the Contracting Board has considered that the technical improvements provided by Mediasur represent a qualitative advance in the equipment of the local channel, cover current deficiencies and improve its quality and production capacity.

In the content section, Mediasur is committed to local grassroots sports broadcasts and to enrich programming with content such as documentaries. wounded by water, a work on the work of journalist Antonio Ramos that addresses Federico García Lorca's connection with the Alhambra.

Granada municipal television began broadcasting in September 2009 under the management of CBM of the Secuoya Group. In 2015, after a debt of more than 450,000 euros emerged. From there, and after numerous political controversies, the Granada City Council terminated the contract with Secuoya. Since then, TG7 has been broadcasting with minimal services until the new contract was now awarded.
