Panasonic enters the top of 30,000 lumens laser projection with PT-RZ31K
Panasonic presents its first equipment with this high luminosity, a range segment that it did not have covered, to fifty rental companies during two events held in Barcelona and Madrid, with a positive reception for its quality and features.
Available on the market next November, the new PT-RZ31K from Panasonic It represents the manufacturer's entry into the very small high-end segment of laser projection of 30,000 ANSI lumens, or as the company emphasizes as a differential, in the 31,000 center lumens (the luminosity is measured in the center, thus providing greater color uniformity and a more balanced measurement, especially indicated for synchronizing two or more projectors in blending).
To show in detail this powerful equipment, designed for the rental market and which is part of the series of PT-RZ three-chip DLP projectors based on Solid Shine laser technology, Panasonic Spain has brought together the main rental companies, first with around twenty companies at the Cornellà Auditorium in Barcelona, and yesterday with a similar capacity at the Odeón Multicines in Tres Cantos (Madrid).
As Oriol Massagué, product manager of Panasonic Visual PSCEU, explains, “the idea of this event was to show the capacity of this 30,000 lumens laser projector on a large screen, like that of a cinema, so that rental companies could appreciate in detail the power, colorimetry, resolution,... that it provides in applications such as events, stages....”
The new PT-RZ31K, in WUXGA and SXGA+ resolutions and 20,000:1 contrast ratio, incorporates a sealed optical block, an exclusive Panasonic system that allows you to do without changing the filter, “making it a completely maintenance-free projector.
In addition, this projector offers the professional two modes of action (high mode and normal mode) to establish a specific working luminosity and thus extend the useful life cycle of the equipment,” Massagué points out.
Another of the differentials of this 79 kilo projector is that "it does not make noise; it is very quiet for a device of this size and luminosity - explains the Panasonic manager -, to which is added that it does not produce much heat, two advantages highly appreciated in rental applications and in 24/7 operations."
Compatible with DLP optics
PT-RZ31K is also compatible with all three-chip DLP optics and can be installed in any position, allowing the lens direction to be selected without the need to move the optic. In addition, it incorporates Digital Link to send the video, audio and control signal through a single LAN cable, thus simplifying installation.
"The acceptance of the rental companies has been very positive - assures Massagué -. We must take into account that Panasonic has been a pioneer in the development of the first laser projectors on the market, more than five years ago, we are at the forefront in the segment above 5,000 lumens. Now we enter the league of 30,000 in laser projection and we will continue to increase the portfolio below to provide complete solutions."
One of the manufacturer's novelties in this sense is that at the beginning of 2017 the first projectors in this range with 4K technology will be presented on the market.
