Rotolight Anova lights up the first fully 4K studio in the UK

The British manufacturer Rotolight has been chosen to illuminate the first fully 4K television studio in the United Kingdom. The facility, specifically designed for live television production and owned by Celebro Media Studios, is located in London's West End.

Wesley Dodd, CEO of Celebro Media Studios, admits that the “idea is that any client doing live television can come to our facility and immediately put a live show on the air. We wanted to be at the forefront of technology.

Everything from the monitors to the cabling are suitable for 4K broadcasts. This, of course, has been extended to lighting as well. Many people in our industry are skeptical when it comes to LEDs, as they have probably encountered problems with excessive green light, flickering, or some other type of problem. We had to fight against these perceptions, to some extent, and find a light that simply didn't have any of those problems.”

Initially, eleven Rotolight Anova V2 bi-color luminaires have been installed in the studios for use in various productions. The facility will expand to more than fifty units, as a result of its energy efficiency, lower UPS load, and single outlet with soft lighting.”
