Drax Audio has just inaugurated a new sound room at its facilities in Madrid.

This new room named Skyline brings digital and analog technology to the studio in a completely remodeled and functional space.

Skyline is the result of the agreement between the studio and the engineer and producer Iván Guerrero, who has extensive experience in recording studios both in Spain (Infinity, Eurosonic, Rec Master, Ritmo y Compás, Synthesis, Pink Noise, Happy Jack, Jingle Box) and outside our borders (Miami, Paris...).

"Music production is the main activity of the Skyline room. It offers the musical creator the possibility of developing projects from composition to mastering, in a closer and more personalized way," says Guerrero, who, at the end of the 90s, worked at Eurosonic, legendary studios in the 70s, 80s and 90s, where Drax Audio has been located since 2011.

“The unbeatable team of professionals, its excellent rooms and first-rate technical equipment make DRAX audio an ideal place,” explained the engineer in relation to his reasons for settling in the Madrid studio.

With the opening of Skyline, Drax further expands its current portfolio to offer services to the advertising, film, television and recording sectors.

The Drax Audio rooms

  • Eastlake. Designed and built by Eastlake acoustic engineering studios, it has more than 150 m2 distributed between room and control. It consists of 3 differentiated acoustic spaces, used simultaneously and isolated from each other: an absorbent acoustics room, a bright room with variable response and a vocal-instrument space.
  • Hawaii Room. Also with Eastlake design and construction, it has a delicate variable acoustics, almost 100 m2 of surface and a control similar to that of the Eastlake room, but of a different character.
  • Kyoto Room. It has individual and exclusive access to the entire “stage”, with pre-reception and rest/meeting area. With natural light and variable acoustics of more than 25 m2, and recording and mixing control unique in the sector with 50 m2. A height of more than 3 meters that gives it an unbeatable room volume.
  • Skyline Room. Room dedicated to record production but fully compatible for A/V post-production. It provides digital and analog technology in a completely remodeled and functional space.
