IABM recognizes Sony Media Backbone Hive with the Peter Wayne Award

Media Backbone Hive is Sony's latest all-media network production system with an advanced scalable platform based on Hyper Convergent Nodes technology.

The International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers (IABM) has awarded the Peter Wayne Award for Design and Innovation to the Media Backbone Hive cloud solution from Sony. Evaluated by a jury of renowned specialists, it is a highly desired award in recognition of extraordinary technical progress.

This award is the culmination of a series of awards given to Media Backbone Hive. Earlier this year at IBC, it was awarded the prestigious IABM Design and Innovation award. A recognition that adds to the previous IABM Game Changer award that Media Backbone Hive received in the disputed Post-Production category. This award is announced each year at the NAB show and honors the efforts suppliers put into delivering innovative solutions to the broadcast industry.

Cloud architecture

El jurado ha otorgado este galardón basándose en que “la transformación del hardware y el software tradicionales se reúne en una arquitectura de nodos más flexible que proporcionará a los usuarios una mayor flexibilidad y, por lo tanto, el acceso a una funcionalidad que no estaría disponible de otro modo. Se trata de un sistema de producción integral importante y exclusivo que utiliza tecnología basada en la nube. Esta arquitectura implica que es verdaderamente escalable y rentable de implementar”.
