Egatel will supply Santiago de Chile with the first high-efficiency, high-power DTT transmitter in the country
Regional Television of Chile opts for the TLWH7808 liquid cooling transmitter with Doherty technology.
Egatel, through its distributor in Chile, Sercom, with which it carried out other medium power projects, has been awarded the supply, installation and commissioning of a 6.5KW ISDB transmitter for TVR-Televisión Regional de Chile (CNC Medios) in Santiago de Chile.
The liquid cooling transmitter, model TLWH7808, stands out for the use of Doherty broadband technology that allows obtaining maximum energy efficiency and retuning its operating frequency without the need for any change or HW action on the equipment.
To guarantee the best quality of service over the country's capital at the launch of this new channel, a transmitter in maximum redundancy configuration has been chosen, including double exciter with automatic/manual control unit, individual electrical protections per module, a heat exchanger with two high efficiency fans and a pump unit that contains two pumps in active standby mode.
José M. Mariño, sales and marketing director of the company, has assured that "at Egatel we want to highlight the versatility of this series of transmitters in which both energy efficiency and emission quality (MER) have been optimized, in order to obtain the best quality in the coverage area and minimize the operating costs of our clients."
