The public at the 67th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival will enjoy Trueba's new comedy, with 5 Goya Award nominations, in a special screening on February 13.

The queen of Spain will be selected for the Berlinale Special Gala section at the 67th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival to be held from February 9 to 19 next year.

The audience of the contest will enjoy the new comedy by Fernando Trueba, with 5 nominations for the Goya Awards (including Penélope Cruz as Best Leading Actress), in a special screening that will take place at the Friedrichstadt Palast on Monday, February 13 and will be attended by both Fernando Trueba and Penélope Cruz.

The film, produced by Fernando Trueba PC and Atresmedia and starring Penélope Cruz and Antonio Resines, tells the story of the return to Spain of the great star Macarena Granada (Penelope Cruz). After having triumphed in Hollywood, she returned to our country to join, in the role of Isabel la Católica, one of the incredible shoots that the Americans came to film starting in 1956, once the international blockade of the dictatorship ended. When Blas Fontiveros (Antonio Resines) finds out that he had not returned to Spain since he went to direct The Girl of Your Eyes 18 years ago, he decides to return and meet some of his old friends. His arrival unleashes a series of events that will put the filming of the blockbuster to the test.

To the reunion of the original cast of The apple of your eye, with Penélope Cruz, Antonio Resines, Jorge Sanz, Santiago Segura, Loles León, Rosa María Sardá, Neus Asensi and Jesús Bonilla, joined by Javier Cámara, Chino Darín, Ana Belén, director Arturo Ripstein and international actors Mandy Patinkin (Homeland), Clive Revill (Avanti!) y Cary Elwes (The princess bride).
