Imagine launches a technological laboratory

The new Imagine Communications Labs aims to test new concepts and technologies as well as validate workflow integrations and product interoperability.

Imagine Communications has launched the new Imagine Communications Labs, a unit focused on testing concepts and technologies as well as validating workflow integrations and the interoperability of different products.

Leading this new unit will be industry veteran Peter Riordan, who joins Imagine after stops at Encompass Digital Media and the technology teams at HBO and Discovery Communications.

Charlie Vogt, CEO of Imagine, said: “After spending much of the last few years focused on delivering on our strategic vision, Imagine Communications is expanding its focus by providing our customers with industry-leading expertise and support to fully modernize their infrastructure and advance the revenue-generating capabilities of their businesses.” With the launch of Imagine Communications Labs “we want to send a clear and resounding message to our clients that we will continue to invest in technological innovation and the support resources necessary to provide exceptional customer service,” he added.

Appointments

Coinciding with the announcement of Imagine Communications Labs, the company has made a series of changes to its organizational chart. Ajay Kapoor has been promoted to lead Imagine's Global Services unit, overseeing a team of more than 200 support engineers and analysts in around thirty countries. After his time at Avaya, Kapoor joined Imagine in 2014.

Sarah Foss has been promoted to product manager for Imagine's advertising management solutions (AMS) portfolio, reporting directly to Charlie Vogt. Also reporting directly to Vogt is Chris Sjerven, the new vice president of operations.

Finally, Leonardo Emilo Gañán will head the sales region of the CALA company. Gañán is a highly recognized professional in an industry in which he has worked for Grass Valley, Textronix, Thomson Broadcast and Quantel.
