KPN Telecom launches a pilot in 4K UHD

The Dutch operator distributes several signals in 4K UHD including the broadcast of some Euro 2016 matches.

Coinciding with the celebration of the Euro Cup, the Dutch operator KPN Telecom has launched a pilot with broadcast in Ultra High Definition 4K.

The project, which has been extended to a thousand KPN clients, includes the UHD broadcast of numerous Euro Cup matches as well as the pilot signal that the Belgian broadcaster VRT is producing in 4K.

KPN has also included in the offer 4K programming from the music channel Xite and Funbox (an SPI International channel already available in Luxembourg and the Czech Republic).
