Casper Plessing, new vice president of ChyronHego sales for Iberia
Plessing will focus on expanding ChyronHego's sales opportunities and channel management in Spain and Portugal.
ChyronHego has appointed Casper Plessing as the new vice president of sales for Iberia. Plessing, after his time as sales director at Vidigo (a company now integrated into ChyronHego), will focus on the expansion of sales opportunities and channel management in Spain and Portugal.
Rickard Öhrn, president of ChyronHego in EMEA, recognizes that "we have been fortunate to have access to Casper's excellent sales management and technical expertise from the acquisition of Vidigo so it now makes perfect sense for him to take charge of this important sales effort. As we continue to increase our presence in Europe, the Iberia region will play a fundamental role, and Casper is the ideal professional to take on the challenges and opportunities in this decisive region."
Plessing began his career in the broadcast industry at Vidigo almost a decade ago, where he served for more than five years as project manager, director of operations and international channel manager. He joined VidiGo three years ago as a sales manager, where he oversaw the company's sales and distribution channel in Latin America, Southeast Asia, Russia and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). He is also the owner of SalesQ Spain, an international full-service sales support company, and has been CEO of DataQ, a Dutch B2B telemarketing company. Dutch, Plessing has a degree in engineering from Delft University of Technology.
Plessing highlighted that "market conditions have been quite tough in Spain and Portugal due to the recent economic downturn, but now that the economy is picking up, we see the tremendous opportunities emerging for ChyronHego solutions. Building on our large installed base in Spain, I look forward to the challenge of expanding our presence in this competitive and very interesting region."
Plessing will be based in Madrid and will report directly to Rickard Öhrn.
