The agreement will combine the prestigious chef's vocation for telling stories with Mediapro's know-how in the field of audiovisual content and innovation.

Mediapro and The ThinkFoodGroup, a restaurant company directed by chef José Andrés, have signed a collaboration agreement for the development and possible co-production of television projects. The innovative company dedicated to everything related to gastronomy, from food trucks to avant-garde cuisine, has 27 restaurants spread throughout the United States and Mexico and is led by José Andrés who, with two Michelin stars, has been named one of the “100 most influential people in the world” by Time magazine.

The agreement will combine the prestigious chef's vocation for telling stories with Mediapro's know-how in the field of audiovisual content and innovation, for the development of television content not only focused on gastronomy and with a broad international vision.

José is not unknown in the world of television after developing and starring in three well-known programs in recent years. It started with the famous Spanish cooking show Let's Cook, broadcast on Spanish Television for three seasons from 2005 to 2007. Later, he brought Spanish cuisine closer to America with the PBS program Made in Spain, which started in 2008 and aired for two seasons. José has also worked to highlight the beauty and cuisine of Haiti with his documentary program Undiscovered Haiti, a co-production with National Geographic that aired in 2015 on PBS.

"Television has always been a natural medium for me because it is in my essence, I am a storyteller. My team and I tell stories in our restaurants and television allows us to reach many more people. Mediapro is the perfect partner to help me and my team bring many of those stories to life, based on gastronomy and much beyond, with its international reach and its incredible resources. I am looking forward to creating great formats with them, commented the chef.

Javier Méndez, content director of the Mediapro group, acknowledges that "we are very excited and delighted to have reached this agreement with ThinkFood. The union of José Andrés' talent with our creative team will allow us to generate extraordinary projects and ideas that show the transformative power of cooking and food."
