AIMS to demonstrate IP interoperability possibilities at NAB 2017
On this occasion, as already happened during IBC, IP interoperability across an entire chain will be demonstrated in a live broadcast. The workflow will feature live source inputs, graphics, synchronization, low latency monitoring, playback with full CIAB workflow and automation control with traffic integration and broadcast encoding for terrestrial, satellite, cable and OTT broadcast.
The experience aims to show that IP allows us to achieve great flexibility today, both in configuration and management in totally critical environments.
Among the equipment that will be used in the pilot, the Spectrum X media server and Harmonic's Electra X2 processing platform stand out; an Arista Networks parent; the Prism hybrid IP/SDI media analysis solution together with an SPG8000A precision multi-format master synchronizer, both from Tektronix; a Lawo V__link4 video over IP solution; the Vizrt Viz Trio CG graphics system; and Harmonic's Spectrum X media server and Electra X2 media processor.
