Data Media installs two MOG F1000 systems in Movistar+ as a multi-format gateway
The subsidiary of Telefónica Spain launches two MOG F1000 systems to use them as a gateway from its archiving system to Avid's production environments, moving both media and metadata between environments.
The needs of the audiovisual market evolve at the same pace as technological evolution. Multiformat, both in content and support, is one of these audiovisual needs. Therefore, it is crucial to have the ideal tools to be able to carry out operations with quality, safety and in an agile and immediate way.
Movistar+, one of the largest audiovisual players in Spain that offers services ranging from distribution, platform and creation of audiovisual content, has taken a new step to respond to the increase in professional formats that appear on the market. A need for adaptation that is not only based on compatibility in reproduction but also in transcoding and transformation of other standardized formats for use in collaborative systems such as Avid Isis or Nexis. The Telefónica subsidiary has commissioned Data Average the implementation of a solution based on technology MOG Technologies that responds to these new needs.
David Martínez, COO of Data Media Technologies, assures that "we have considered it convenient to have MOG Technologies products for this integration due to their versatility and ease of integration with other environments even through API, which is required for this project. MOG has proven to be a company that knows how to adapt its products to new market needs, new file formats and workflows, an example is the adaptation of the system to accept new types of camcorders and recorders, both broadcast and professional."
MOG Technologies has more than a decade of experience boosting performance in workflows within environments based on audiovisual file exchange, ensuring high interoperability between formats and systems.
To satisfy this need for Movistar+ within its filing system, Data has opted to install two MOG F1000 systems to use them as a gateway from its filing system to Avid's production environments, moving both media and metadata between environments. F1000 is a multi-format material ingestion system that allows transfer between camcorders, servers, editors and media managers while maintaining the source metadata. It has tools such as rewrap, trim and merge that allow the selection and pre-editing of materials from a very agile and intuitive interface, in an automated way or under external control through WebServices.
