PAM Editshare Flow will support Object Matrix MatrixStore storage
The new integration of Flow, a control layer for asset management across systems and workflows, will allow users to easily move content, including relevant metadata, between MatrixStore systems and EditShare XStream shared storage platforms.
EditShare announced this Wednesday that EditShare Flow, its production asset management (PAM) solution, will now integrate with MatrixStore digital management solutions from Object Matrix, thus expanding the Flow-managed storage environment to include “parking storage” workflows.
The new integration of Flow, a control layer for asset management across systems and workflows, will allow users to easily move content, including relevant metadata, between MatrixStore systems and EditShare XStream shared storage platforms. Additionally, users can use the Flow Automation module to fully automate the movement of content between platforms, creating unmanned workflows for redundant and repetitive media migrations.
Howard Twine, Director of Software Strategy at EditShare, said: "Flexibility around tools and connected workflows is key for our customers, and therefore expanding third-party integrations and Flow workflow scenarios is a primary focus for EditShare. Integrations like Object Matrix streamline productions and reduce costs by eliminating the need for resources to manually move valuable content between EditShare shared storage and Matrix parking storage systems. Objects We will continue to work closely with leading suppliers to expand the Flow ecosystem and offer our customers options that improve production efficiency, as well as the ability to adapt productions to their demanding needs.”
For his part, Nick Pearce, sales director at Object Matrix, adds that "the media and entertainment industry is moving away from manual processes and storage silos and towards automated workflows using the best integrated solutions. The integration of EditShare Flow with a digital content management platform such as MatrixStore ensures that the market can benefit by adding security, auditing and scalability to production workflows."
