For-A begins marketing its HVS-490 production mixer

The HVS-490 provides the possibility of use in live 4K productions in a more accessible way and can be used in various applications.

For-A now has in its portfolio the new Hanabi line video switcher, HVS-490, which offers 4K-UHD and 3G features and has been designed based on a compact concept to be used in live production environments, including mobile productions, events, religious or corporate environments.

Its design allows you to use macro functions, frame synchronizers and multi-screens in a small space. With control panels, it is also possible for multiple operators to perform different tasks. The mixer supports 40 inputs and 18 outputs or 36 inputs and 20 outputs or 32 inputs and 22 outputs, including two HDMI outputs. With the 4K/UHD configuration the user can also vary the number of inputs and outputs.

Like the other devices in the Hanabi series, the mixer features MELite technology, eliminating the need for multiple switches in a multi-monitor venue, as well as FLEXaKEY technology, which allows an AUX bus to be transformed into a Mix Effects function with cuts, mixes, transitions, keys and DVE, including a full preview. MELite increases performance from 2M/Es to 6M/E and allows the use of more transition effects.

The mixer is released with two types of M/E control panels: the HVS-492OU, with 18 buttons, and the HVS-492WOU, with a 22-button panel. Both have a touch screen and a friendly interface.
