Verimatrix enters the IoT market with a cloud-based platform to protect connected devices and services

Verimatrix announced at IBC 2017 its strategy into the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) application space with Vtegrity. This new solution from Verimatrix addresses the security gaps that exist in many current IoT services that do not protect the integrity of connected devices, both at initial deployment and during the subsequent life cycle of the applications. Vtegrity provides the building blocks to protect device software, device communications, and proactive threat detection essential to protecting IoT-based revenue channels.

Leveraging established security technologies and ecosystem partnerships, Verimatrix has created a progressive IoT solution that extends the benefits of the same hardware-associated device security regime offered by Verimatrix's VCAS revenue security solution for pay TV, such as device integrity and secure authentication support. Vtegrity can also leverage Verspective's cloud-based analytics components to enable secure data collection and valuable behavioral insights in compliance with new regulatory frameworks.
