This question and many others will be answered by Mark Harrison, general director of the Digital Production Partnership (DPP), an international alliance that brings together more than 250 companies in the sector, in a plenary session at BIT Experience 2017 (Feria de Madrid) on March 5. October.

Mark Harrison, general director of the international alliance of media and broadcast companies Digital Production Partnership (DPP) will participate in a plenary session at BIT Experience 2017 (11.15 am). In these sessions, which will take place on October 4 and 5 at Feria de Madrid, more than forty speakers will participate at the highest level of the audiovisual, digital and multimedia industry.

Everyone knows that changes in consumer behavior are transforming the media market. But do we fully understand the implications of these dramatic changes?

In his presentation, which will surely spark great debate, Mark Harrison will give his vision on how, more than an evolution, the media industry is facing a disruption derived from the change in the way users consume content. This disruption will also mean a change in the way we produce, manage and distribute content.

The DPP works in three major areas: ggenerating ideas by gathering the experience of its members; identifying business requirements and user needs while indicating common specifications, interfaces and workflows; and creating market opportunities by bringing together customers and suppliers to share ideas and identify needs.

Since joining British public television in 2001, Mark Harrison has held numerous senior art direction positions; cross-platform production; innovation; future technologies; or transformation, design and engineering. In 2015 he left the BBC to dedicate himself exclusively to directing DPP.

BIT Experience está organizado por IFEMA y Comunicare Digital, con Panorama Audiovisual como main media partner, y el patrocinio de Aicox, Etiqmedia, Harmonic, SES y Sony (diamante); Akamai, Aspera, Cellnex, Hispasat, Intinor, Riedel, Rohde&Schwarz y TMediaT (oro); Ebantic, Tedial y VHD (plata).
