DPP Technology Leaders' Briefing

Digital Production Partnership (DPP), the media industry's international business network, today released a report summarizing its recent event to its members. Technology Leaders’ Briefing. The Briefing was attended by senior technology executives from 17 technological players: broadcasters, platforms and technology giants. Each leader shared their three current key priorities.

The event was made possible thanks to the support of DPP member companies such as Google Cloud, Dropbox, Sony, Brightcove and CenturyLink, as well as twelve other member companies who supported DPP's personalized meeting service, the DPP Club Lounge.

The administrative director of DPP and author of the report, Mark Harrison, highlights that "the briefing of our technology leaders is a unique event. The leaders provide focused and actionable business intelligence to the supplier community. Their priorities are also based on providing an extraordinarily precise set of technology trends that both suppliers and customers themselves find of great value."

The report summarizes the three points made by each of the technology leaders and explores emerging trends.

The report includes the impressions of executives from Al Jazeera, BBC, BT Sport, CBC/Radio Canada, Channel 4, DAZN, Eurosport, FOX, Google Cloud, ITV, Microsoft, PBS, Sky, Turner, UKTV, Viacom and VICE Media.

Harrison emphasizes that this event "brings together customers and suppliers to share problems and identify business opportunities. It will be an annual event, and 2019 already promises to be even bigger and better."

The report Technology Leaders’ Briefing 2018 is available for DPP members to download now. This is the first in a series of DPP reports to be published over the next two months, including Communicating Security, which explores human factors in successful security; CES 2019; las DPP Predictions 2019; y AI for Real – an assessment of where AI is already impacting professional media.
