4KS17 SpeakersFour “top engineers” from Great Britain, from different multinationals and experts in 4K-Ultra High Definition (UHD) and HDR, will participate as “speakers” in the 4K Summit, putting a strong “British” accent to this international summit that will take place on November 8, 9 and 10 in Malaga, at the Digital Content Pole.

The Japanese multinational Sony has chosen Peter Sykes, its director of strategic development in Europe, as its representative at the 4K Summit'17 to offer a Keynote. Peter Sykes is one of the most relevant speakers on UHD HDR. Sykes has worked in the content and media technology industry for 30 years and has been involved in introducing some of Sony's most cutting-edge professional developments. Sony will also host a workshop at 4KSummit'17 to show its latest developments with an independent expert, in English “ICE” (Independent Certified Expert).

The American multinational Dolby Laboratories has decided to send Simon Gauntlett, director of Image and Technology standards, at Dolby Laboratories. Gauntlett leads a team that works with international standardization bodies, consumer electronics chains and manufacturers to develop and adopt advanced imaging standards. In addition, Dolby Laboratories will show in one of the demonstration rooms at the 4K Summit a comparison that it presented a few weeks ago at the IBC 2017 in Amsterdam, on HLG, PQ and Dolby Vision.

For its part, the Swedish multinational Ericsson has commissioned its engineer Mark Horton. Horton is the Director of Strategy, Encoding and Compression at Ericsson and is recognized for his talks and keynotes on HDR at major technology shows. Mark Horton is one of the world's leading experts on UHD and will also be part of the Masterclass given by the World Ultra High Definition Forum (UHD Forum).

Having these speakers, the 4K Summit'17 fulfills one of the objectives of this international summit: to bring together the best speakers worldwide on Ultra High Definition (UHD) technology and content for three days.
