The V-60HD supports six channels of video from various inputs, including 3G-SDI, HDMI and RGB sources with scaling on the HDMI and RGB inputs to support video and VESA resolutions from 480i to WUXGA.

Roland V60-HD

The new V-60HD is the latest AV mixer that Roland adds to its range of video production solutions. Its feature set is perfect for live event production.

It supports SDI camera inputs as well as up-scaling HDMI inputs for data, computers, tablets and other video sources via various connections, as well as separate Program and Aux buses for tracking monitors, stage monitors and side displays.

The V-60HD also offers advanced sound features such as multi-channel embedded audio, XLR/TRS and RCA analog inputs and multi-channel embedded audio to two SDI outputs, plus comprehensive dynamics and auto-mixing functions. Compact, portable and easy to use, the V-60HD supports six channels of video from a variety of inputs, including 3G-SDI, HDMI and RGB sources with scaling on the HDMI and RGB inputs to support video and VESA resolutions from 480i to WUXGA.

A deinterlacer allows the use of 1080i and 1080p video sources from multiple fixed-lens, PTZ or ENG cameras simultaneously without an external signal converter. The V-60HD also supports still image capture and import with two dedicated crosspoints to keep images close at hand and activate them easily.

The Program, Preview and AUX bus sources offer flexible outputs for multi-screen environments such as houses of worship, conference halls, hotels and trade shows, allowing the use of tracking monitors, presenter notes and a main output for IMAG. The dedicated AUX bus can be assigned to any of the four independent SDI or HDMI outputs, offering seamless switching from the eight input channels, including four SDI, two HDMI or one RGB, and two still images loaded via the USB port.

A three-inch LCD screen on the front panel offers quick-access menu navigation for adjusting switch parameters. A multiviewer supports Program and Preview signals and up to eight video sources with audio indicators and labels.
The simple V-60HD RCS software application (Mac and PC) provides configuration and control information for the equipment through a network port.

Remote control

In fixed installations, the V-60HD can be controlled remotely via the LAN or RS-232 port using the touch panel or other programmable interface equipment. The LAN port also supports Roland's new wireless tally system for PC and iOS/Android devices, which provides tally to some computers on a Wi-Fi hotspot. In addition to allowing the loading of still images, the USB port allows the user to save program files and memory settings, as well as software updates.

The professional user interface also includes broadcast switch-quality crosspoint buttons with color PGM/PST LED indicators, a sturdy T-bar, and DSK (downstream keyer) quick-edit dials for key level and gain. Two sets of specific controls offer Split and PinP (Picture-in-Picture) centered framing.

DSK can be used to apply up to three composition layers with titles, lyrics, logos or graphics from video sources. The DSK supports luminance (black/white) and chroma (blue/green) to compose two video sources plus the additional PinP layer and background video.

Video processing allows cutting, crossfading, and applying NAM and FAM transitions with 30 different wipe patterns. Time-based correction and frame synchronization ensure seamless transitions between six video sources and two still image buses.

The V-60HD also includes a 12-channel audio mixer with four TRS/XLR combo jacks with 48V phantom power, a stereo RCA pair, and audio dekeying from the six video inputs. Audio processing features include powerful dynamics and effects features such as a high-pass filter, gate, compressor/limiter, three-band EQ, delay, and the ability to select channels with audio following the video.

The innovative independent multi-channel audio keying feature allows you to select which audio source is keyed separately on SDI outputs 1 and 2, for example to correct audio problems or separate audio sources into multiple languages afterwards. Finally, the auto-mix function adjusts the audio level in a weighted manner to ensure consistent levels for room mixing, recording, and web streaming.
