For-A's new HVS-4000HS mixer is the latest addition to Fora-A's Hanabi series. It has support for HD/SD with mixed inputs, as well as an option for 3 Gbps and stereoscopic 3D production, and as Hiro Tanoue, president of the company, commented, “flexibility and functionality are two of the most important considerations when the new HVS-4000HS was designed.

This table allows you to carry out multi-format productions, with options such as 3G and 3D. With its optional 3D stereo function, the HVS-4000HS can handle both left and right video signals simultaneously allowing the operator to switch or reverse video, add delays, execute horizontal shifts and transitions, and much more. While the switch supports 1080i, 720p, NTSC, and PAL signals, its optional 3G-SDI input provides support for 1080p signals.

Main features

Among other features, it includes 3D DVE, six still stores (expandable to eight), four keyers for each M/E (expandable to six), macro function, control of external devices, video file support and multi-screen. The HVS-4000HS includes H/SD-SDI inputs and outputs, which can be expanded to a maximum of 48 inputs and 24 outputs. The output selection gives the option between PGM, PREV, CLEAN, CLEAN, KEY, AUX and MV. Four buses can also be used to work with an external mask keyer, backgrounds or picture-in-picture without the need for dedicated buses.

The HVS-4000HS 2 M/E model features a control panel designed for simple, direct operations, which is available in 16 or 24 button versions. The 2.5 M/E emphasizes direct access to preset content, including a macro bus and event recall button for each M/E. Its control panel is available in versions with 24 or 32 buttons. The main unit housed in 4 RU with redundant power supply and output options are the same for both models, so customers can upgrade to the 2.5 M/E even after purchasing the 2 M/E model.
